SHOP ON MY RADAR

INSLEY & NASH

As you may or not know i'm currently in the process of designing my final collection to be shown at Graduate Fashion Week 2014, I'm nearly towards the end of my collection i say, knowing i have 6 outfit's to make under a month!

Basically i have chosen to design a very ambitious collection, which has made me want to tear my hair out at certain points during the last month, but what's been the most stressful throughout my journey is finding the right printing company to do what i need them to do (yes im fussy especially when i'm going to be paying £50 a meter) oh my god, i have searched high and low to find this little perfect gem hidden away in an industrial estate in Deptford, London, Insley & Nash.

I took a trip down to their studio last week to knuckle down and tackle all my questions. I find it much easier when you explain what you want face to face, rather than on the phone or e-mail. Thank god i did so, they were so helpful with all my questions and gave me lots of great advice.  I'm now on the right track to get exactly what i want printed (after a few tears and tantrums), i'm currently perfecting and toiling my print placement designs and then i will be sending my final images to be sent off to Insley & Nash for them to work their magic.

Insley and Nash have worked with major designers such as Giles Deacon, JW Anderson, David Koma etc so that makes me feel so much better, as I'll know the quality will be amazing even just their sample packs are a great with really saturated colour's compared to a few other digital printing companies,
I will say this, print placement is NOT my forte!

  1. That's all so exciting! It must be really promising to know you're in safe hands as well, with them having worked with major designers previously. I'm really excited to see the finished product! x

  4. This sounds like a fun venture but an expensive one so you can't afford mistakes. Good luck with your designs.

  5. How amazing! The right fabric is key when it comes to the best finishes product so as you say, it pays to be picky.
