On Saturday i attended the Vogue Festival with the gorgeous Eva from Glamazon Blog to see the talented fashion designer Phoebe Philo for Celine.
It was such an inspirational day as Phoebe Philo spoke about her role and how she hates 'fame' she said likes the fact that she can walk the streets without people knowing who she is and staying 'incognito', so when she isn't working she can be a mum of three and a wife. It was very clear in the talk with the editor of Vogue Alexandra Shulman that she had to be there and it wasn't optional, she refused to answer a few questions which i loved, only a strong lady can say No. She really inspired me after experiencing such an awful week ( Creating a final collection really does test your patience) she really made it clear to me that anything is possible if you put your mind into it, mother or no mother.
I was lucky enough to ask her a question, and my question was:
Obviously as a head designer your role is practically to do everything and that's not a 9-5 kind of job in the fashion industry how do you make time to be a wife and a mother to three?
Phoebe Philo: It's not easy but it's defiantly possible before i had children i would work till the late hours, i am lucky enough to be able to come to work at 8 and leave when i need to around 6/7.
