The transition from day to night for me is so extreme, during the day i love to experiment with colour. texture and size take this cool 70's inspired rustic coat it's playing with this season trend taking inspiration from the catwalk to the street keeping it cool and effortless.

However as soon as it hits 7pm I throw experimenting out the window i like to keep it simple effortless again and chic- by this i mean staying to one tone and colour, black usually. Stepping out in a suit is huge trend this season- who said tailoring is only for men!

I feel like during the day i like to make statements, but at night keep it understated- what's your day to night transition?

Looking to escape to warmer climates this winter? I don't blame you if you do- as i'm exactly the same, i'm not made for the cold weather as much as i love a snug knit and adding a new winter coat to my wardrobe i'm very much a sun seeker with the love of dresses

I've just got back from an incredible press trip with PANDORA (don't worry i will go into this in more detail in my next post as it's too juicy not too share- in the meantime you can see snippets over on my instagram or using the hashtag #PANDORAabroad to see what we got up to)

Anxiety always hits me when it comes to packing especially when i know i'm not going on a 'beach holiday' -what do you pack to stroll around Thailand's capital? A city known for markets and vibrant streets.

Flowy printed dresses are always my call to roam around in, whether you're being a true tourist visiting temples or shopping in the local market, you really can't go wrong! Your shoulders and knees are covered so you're not insulting anyone, but at the same time you look fashionable and lastly you won't be suffering from a heat stroke as dresses are airy and breezy- it's a win win situation!

Mix and match is the equivilant to pick and mix, throw on some colourdenim and a print and you've nailed the look.

Stepping off the plane from Dubai i felt like i needed to add some colour to my look to brighten up my day- holiday blues has hit me hard! What a better way to do so but with pink knitwear!

I don't know about anyone else but if i don't get a good night sleep i know for a fact you shouldn't come near me in the morning as i literally would have woken up on the wrong side of the bed.

There's no beauty sleep like a good night sleep!

1. Get the perfect mattress & pillows

The number one key to sleeping well is investing in a good mattress & pillows, making sure it's comfortable and supportive.

2. Create a relaxing atmosphere

Setting the scene is vital, making sure your room is not overcrowded and the perfect sleeping environment, your bedroom should be cool- not too hot or cold! Candles and diffusers are also great for setting a relaxing scene.

3. Control your exposure to light

Natural light keeps your internal clock on a healthy sleep-wake cycle. So make sure you let that morning light in!

4. Wind down and clear your head

We all go 100 miles per hour before bed i know i do, i get all sorts of ideas just before bed and i think/sometimes overthink the past, present and future- take an hour before bed winding down and clearing your head, candles, magazine/book and a face mask is always a good idea.

5. Exercise daily

Exercise is great not just for your health but great for clearing your mind, it's a brilliant way to get rid of any type of anxiety or stress to make you sleep well.

Does your A/W16 wardrobe consist of the 'hot of the press' slip dress? Mine does, this Wallis midnight navy number has made an appearance into my wardrobe and i couldn't be more pleased as we all know i'm a huge fan of slip dresses whether it's in or out the house, however it's time to swap tee's for turtlenecks!

In collaboration with Wallis, all words and styling are my own.

We've entered October, where has the time gone? I've been so tempted to turn my heating on a few times over the last few days but i haven't caved just yet, i've just caved in with the knitwear layering!

What's my top this autumn for layering? Just bundle all the knitwear you have on, cardigans are a great way to put an ensemble together without looking like a ball of fluff your cat found and stick to darker shades, black and greys are great as they don't make you look like you've added a few pounds.
