Finally we've all been paid, long awaited or what!

With Black Friday, Christmas & New Year at the end of 2015 this years first pay check is well needed- to cure my/our shopping habit, not that i need any more wishlists to be honest! I've literally just spent over £350 on ASOS on god knows what- i only bought 7 items. We don't work hard for nothing right? we need something to show for our money and what else better than new clothes/shoes and bags.

What to buy with this month's pay check?

2016 for me is all about investment pieces whether they are cheap or expensive my aim is to fill my wardrobe with classic essential pieces which i can get more than a few wears out of- so obviously a camel chunky knit is essential, and so is a good tailored skirt right? I'm still lusting over these Gucci loafers- i do really need to take the plunge and just buy them- and for the rest i don't really have any justification than they should belong to me.

Are you lacking inspiration when it comes to workwear?

I was too, until i came across this Balmain inspired double breasted blazer which i got for £20- bargain right? Unfortunately it is sold out online however how similar is this one & this one to say this look was a winner in the office is an understatement. I've always wanted a Balmain blazer but let's face it it's not easy to justify over £1000 on a blazer, i'll stick to justifying my designer handbags to my husband.

PS. Do keep your eyes peeled as i'm making a big purchase come Monday!

So not only does my coat obsession continue my but love for the colour blush does too, forecasted the biggest colour trend by spring. Usually choosing a coat i tend to go for more darker colours such as black, navy or grey so it's nice to add a coloured addition to my wardrobe.

Let's face it the weather is miserable and not very inspiring when it comes to putting an outfit together, this dip dye ombre knit is a good example that your outfit doesn't have to be as miserable as outside. I'm sure i can get lots of wear out of this knit whether it's for work, weekend or meeting the girls for coffee.

Two trends, one outfit!

It's not everyday you can master two trends in one outfit but on this occasion- look and learn (and get your debit card out). Smart layering is essential, especially if like me  you always reach for a black, grey or a navy colour palette- this is ok, it's also ok to wear a touch of colour time to time.

Blush is a major colour this season and you will see lots of it come spring, so why not be ahead of the game and grab your knit now, another big trend this season is stripes (in my eyes it's always a trend, and a basic essential).

Add both of them together and you've nailed two trends in one outfit, mixing abstract prints underneath a chunky knit is an easy way of
1. making the most of your clothes
2. it's trending
3. and lastly why the hell not mix it up a little!

As Fashion Week is fast approaching may i just add where the hell has the time gone? I feel like i need to stay focused on my wardrobe and not go crazy until february as that's when my card will hit it's toll- so i'm sticking to a trusted wishlist!

So what's currently on my radar? Slingbacks, Yeezy trainers which i am forever looking for if anyone knows where i can get a pair please do not hesitate to leave me a comment, stripes and just relaxed pieces really- i still haven't come across anything that's swept me off my feet for fashion week

New Year, New Coat?

Sounds about right, forget new year's resolutions -let's face it we never stick to them anyway so i guess i'll use the excuse of the new year to  bag myself a new coat, and what better than this short navy pea coat.

Not only is it practical, warm and stylish it's also under £50! Are you on board to treat yourself to a new coat, it is a new year after all.

I am officially back to work so that means back to thinking what to wear at 6am- but to say i'm excited is an understatement, it's nice to be back to reality and realising what day it is in the week. Speaking of reality sometimes as much as we want to look stylish and 'fashion' you have to be realistic and this slouchy lace-up jumper is just that.

There is nothing i love more than knitwear, especially when it's cold and windy and with the air con up full blast in the office i always make sure i'm dressed appropriately, injecting some colour into my work wardrobe this cosy lace up jumper, is just that -appropriate and cosy.

PS. I sized up to a size 16 to get an oversized look.
