Reliability wise the elgrand is fantastic, I have been through the normal, new exhaust, battery and due to UK roads, new shocks and springs. Also the E50 model 1997-2002 has dreadful brakes, discs (from the xtrail) on the front and pathfinder rear drums, none of which is adequate to stop nearly 3 tons from 112mph.
