Both of these bosses have quests that lead to them, after you beat the main story for the DLC. Each boss drops ~10 crystals each.

Throughout the fight Hyperius will randomly do this blastwave and around the 50-60 % mark he gives one off that seems to have increased damage, enough to bring anyone using The Bee into FFYL.
