What does RAF Cosford do?

RAF Cosford in Shropshire is a major part of the Defence College of Technical Training (DCTT). It is at the centre of the RAF’s mission to deliver flexible, affordable, modern and effective technical training that meets the needs of the UK’s Armed Forces now and into the future.

What planes are at RAF Cosford Museum?

The Spitfire forms the centrepiece of a new display, where the RAF’s frontline fighters, the Spitfire, Hurricane, Gladiator and Defiant are face to face with their German rivals the Me 109 and Ju 88, to tell a coherent story.

This hangar is home to the RAF Museum Cosford’s collection of transport and training aircraft, Aero Engines, Art Gallery, History of Cosford, and German Second World War missiles. Over the last year, Hangar 1 has been used to deliver our workshops to school groups in a safe and socially distanced manner.

School visit FAQ’s The RAF Museum Access and Learning team are excited to announce the launch of the new learning programme. We are also accepting self-guided school visits. Due to COVID-19, all schools must pre-book a visit through the Access and Learning Team.

How much is parking at Cosford Air Museum?

If you are arriving by car or motorbike you will be required to pay for parking. If you are arriving by car or motorbike you will be required to pay for parking. The charges are £5.00 for 0 to 7 hours. Coaches and minibuses are not required to pay car parking charges.
