You should be able to access and then delete cached credentials when you’re done.

  1. Navigate to the share (\\server\sharename)
  2. At the command prompt, type: “net use \\server\admin$” which will prompt for credentials.
  3. Type the UNC to get to your share.
  4. Once you’re done, type: “net use \\server\admin$ /delete”

Best to create security groups and give NTFS permissions to these groups on the shared folders and then simply add users which require access. Not sure if this will help in your case. But this will just restrict the access. I was looking for a force prompt cred solution to shares.
