FCCLA offers intra-curricular resources and opportunities for students to pursue careers that support families. Since 1945, FCCLA members have been making a difference in their families, careers, and communities by addressing important personal, work, and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences education.

The National Board of Directors is the governing body of FCCLA and is composed of adult representatives from education and business and four youth representatives. State associations and local chapters elect their own youth officers.

In 2018, we earned an award from Georgia FCCLA for having the largest chapter in our region! We participate in every state event, as well as several national events. Our advisor, Ms. Jessica Wammock, recently earned recognition as a state and national Master Advisor!

An individual event – recognizes participants who demonstrate their baking and pastry skills through the preparation of a quick bread, choux pastry, cookie, and shaped yeast bread.

Can a teacher be a member of the FCCLA?

Once the state and national dues are paid, the student will be an official affiliated member. Teachers can join FCCLA too! Teachers certified to teach Family and Consumer Sciences education, or as determined by the state department of education, can serve as the FCCLA chapter adviser.
